TrueLayer, a fast-growing fintech company known for its bespoke toolkit enabling the development of financial applications, had outgrown its co-working setup in Angel. They sought a larger, dedicated space that could reflect their identity and support continued expansion.
Central to the brief was the expression of the company’s core values—simplicity, security, and transparency—through a clean, purposeful design language. Working closely with in-house furniture specialists, Tribe, the design team curated a furniture and finishes palette that celebrated these principles while incorporating vibrant touches of colour that brought energy and personality to the workspace.

To balance these playful injections of colour, the architectural base was kept neutral and raw, allowing elements like exposed brickwork to shine through. This contrast gave the space a grounded, authentic feel that resonated with TrueLayer’s values.
A number of bespoke design features were introduced to add personality and flexibility. One standout is the custom banquette seating in the tea point, positioned along the perimeter windows. Inspired by TrueLayer’s branding—which subtly references retro gaming elements like Tetris—these joinery details created a block-like form that added a playful, recognisable twist.
At the heart of the office sits a bespoke bleacher structure, designed as a multifunctional space for town halls, casual meetings, and impromptu collaboration. The branded soft seating and metal detailing around the edges gave it definition and presence within the open floorplate.
This project delivered a balanced, intelligent workspace that speaks to the brand’s identity while promoting openness, collaboration, and a bit of fun—an environment where functionality meets creativity.
